Summary: The experience was very positive but, since I had done my homework and had numerous apps, discussion boards, and printed materials for research before going, I knew exactly what to expect. The wonderful staff employed by Viking did the rest. My trip was split: we were on the Idi from Budapest to Nurenberg, and on the Kvasir the rest of the way to Amsterdam. Of the two ships, the Idi was better.
